Issues

There are many ethical issues surrounding Biofabrication right now. From the controversy of who to save (youth or elderly), the usage of embryonic stem cells, and the general terrifying idea of 3D printing organs. Society is in debate about how far technology should be going. To learn more about all these controversies, click here!

FDA currently regulates Biofabrication as of right now, however, it is heavily regulated as it is a questionable topics of science in the field of ethics. Biofabrication is continually questionable in the law as it is questioned on whether or not this research should still be funded. It may cost many millions before the first organ comes along.  DNA and from patients are also held on private file of course! The social impact of biofabrication on the world will be huge! It changes the lives all the patients and people around the world as many are in need of organs, not just that medicine can be created to cure all ofthese diseases. As organs work toward being "printable" medicine will be tested on them, resulting in better and more accurate results. The FDA will also have an easier time approving medicine.
